Check out our favourite emails we’ve received throughout April.
This months theme is bold colour, and we’re here for it! Have you noticed this trend in your inbox recently? Let us know over on our Instagram or Twitter. Enjoy!
1. Fast Company
SL: [Deadline Approaching] Only 4 Days Left to Apply
Chosen for: Design.
We are seeing the use of bold background colours in hero images and throughout full emails more and more recently, something our designers are big fans of. The main reason being how well it draws the readers eye and grabs attention. Something Fast Company have done well here with this last chance email and the clever use of a countdown clock.
2. Lanx
SL: Styled by: Matt & Abbie
Chosen for: Design.
A great example of an editorial email here from Lanx, with a specific focus on lifestyle imagery mixed with product imagery which compliment each other very well. The hand drawn details throughout the email also add a personal feel and an element of rawness which we love.
3. VEJA
SL: Limited Edition
Chosen for: Design.
It’s great when you can really get a sense of a brand through their emails, and this is always the case with VEJA. Their sustainable, cool, clean style shines through, with great use of white space paired with clear copy and actionable CTA’s making it super easy to scroll through and take an action.
4. Resy LDN
SL: The Resy Lineup: What to Eat, Drink, and Do This Week
Chosen for: Design.
Here is another example of a brand who have used bold colour to their advantage. Using this bright yellow in the header allows for the content to be displayed clearly and effectively. This, paired with the fun illustrations throughout the content makes for a really clear and playful email.
5. Adidas
SL: Your access to the Collaborations Archive sale
Chosen for: Design.
A unique style of design from Adidas, and going with our bold colour theme this month we couldn’t not include it. Adidas are known for their often rogue and out of the norm email designs, and this certainly follows suit. The abstract grids drew us in and made us want to know more, so the design must be doing something right!
6. PizzaExpress
SL: Dive into fresh flavours this weekend
Chosen for: Design.
We’re lucky enough to be the people behind these awesome email designs for PizzaExpress. With their recent rebrand, we have been able to push the creative even more. Including eye popping use of colour, fun animations and the occasional interactive element. We’d say this email certainly ticks the box of being playful and delivering a clear message.
